The Common mountain bush-cricket (Antaxius pedestris) is dark brown, grey brown or dark grey with light whitish or yellow to light grey stripes. Found from July to October, it feeds on plants and insects – mainly small locusts. It lives in the Pyrenees of Spain and in the western and southern Alps of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland.
