The white-headed buffalo weaver or white-faced buffalo-weaver (Dinemellia dinemelli) is named for its habit of following the African buffalo, feeding on disturbed insects. The White-headed Buffalo-Weaver frequents semi-arid habitats such as dry bush and thorny savannah in East Africa – from Ethiopia and Sudan to Kenya and Tanzania.
