The green-throated carib (Eulampis holosericeus) hummingbird has a a bright green gorget – a patch of coloured feathers found on the throat or upper breast. The male's gorget has a blue border that is usually not apparent. Males have a medium length slightly decurved bill; the female's is longer and more strongly curved. Found in the Caribbean islands, it prefers a variety of landscapes, including wet forests, semi-deciduous forests, cultivated areas, gardens, and parks.
