The Green anole (Anolis carolinensis) is a type of reptile that belongs to the family of iguanas. It can be found in the southeastern parts of North America. Green anole inhabits swamps, woodlands, parks, yards and other humid, forested areas. It is also known as the American green anole, American anole, and red-throated anole – as well as the American chameleon due to its ability to change color from several brown hues to bright green.
