The glossy black common hill myna (Gracula religiosa), sometimes spelled "mynah" and formerly simply known as the hill myna or myna bird, is member of the starling family (Sturnidae), and is resident in hill regions of South Asia and Southeast Asia. It has bright orange-yellow patches of naked skin and fleshy wattles on the side of its head and nape, and has a wide repertoire of screams, squeaks, chirps, and whistles. It prefers humid forest and forest edge, often seen in pairs or small flocks flying between or perched up in tall trees.
