The yellow orange tip (Ixias pyrene) is a small butterfly of the family Pieridae, that is, the yellows and whites, which is found in Sri Lanka, India and south-east Asia. Males are yellow with orange tips and brownish-black marginal border. The underside (verso) of the males vary between orange and pale yellow with various eye spots. The female topside is black with white patches, the underside is orange/yellow.
