The Yellow-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus goiavier) is a Southeast Asian songbird known for its bright yellow vent (under-tail coverts) and, on adults, a distinct black eye mask contrasting with a white eyebrow and throat. Found from Indochina down to the Philippines and Indonesia in open habitats like gardens, parks, cultivated areas, and coastal shrubland, but not deep forests, it feeds on berries, small fruits, and nectar, but also eats small insects.
