The western grey squirrel (Sciurus griseus) is an arboreal rodent found along the western coast of the United States and Mexico. It is a tree squirrel. It can be found in Washington, Oregon, California, and in a small part of Nevada in oak woodlands and coniferous forests. It is also known as the silver-grey squirrel, the California grey squirrel, the Oregon grey squirrel, the Columbian grey squirrel and the banner-tail.
