The colourful blue-throated parrotfinch (Erythrura trichroa), more accurately called the blue-faced parrotfinch, has a striking blue face, red-brown tail, and green wings. It inhabits rainforest edges and dense grasslands in Southeast Asia and the Southwest Pacific, often migrating to warmer lowlands in winter such as Papua New Guinea, Australia, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands.
