The blue-frosted banner (Catonephele numilia) has a vibrant blue "frosting" on the edges of its dark wings, particularly noticeable in males. Males have black wings with three bright orange patches and blue frosting, while females have a pale yellow bar on their forewings and a red spot. Found in Central and South America, it is also known as the blue-frosted Catone, Grecian shoemaker, or Stoplight Catone.
