The curve-billed thrasher (Toxostoma curvirostre) has strong legs and a long, decurved bill which give it the perfect tools for hunting insects in the punishing deserts, canyons, and brushlands. It has fairly faint round spots on breast and belly, is about a foot in length and generally greyish brown. Native to most of Mexico and to the deserts of southwestern United States, the curve-billed thrasher forages on the ground beneath shrubs and cacti.
