Tickell's blue flycatcher (Cyornis tickelliae) commemorates the British ornithologist Samuel Tickell who collected in India and Burma. The male is a beautiful bird which has bright blue upperparts, a red throat and breast, and the rest of the underparts white. The female is duller. Known for its beautiful song and plumage, it is found in the dense scrub and forest habitats of India, Sri Lanka, and Southern Asia.
