The Madagascar turtle dove (Nesoenas picturatus), also known as the Malagasy turtle dove, is a common bird found throughout Madagascar and some surrounding islands. It's a shy, medium-sized dove with a pinkish and rufous colouration, characterised by large white corners on its tail. It is found in Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros, Réunion, Mayotte, Seychelles and the Chagos archipelago.
