The swamp wallaby (Wallabia bicolor) is also known as stinker (in Queensland), and black stinker (in New South Wales) on account of its characteristic swampy odour. It is one of a few macropod species with webbed feet, ideal for living in swampy areas, woodlands, and dense forests, on the eastern coast of Australia. Also known as the black wallaby, black-tailed wallaby, fern wallaby, and black pademelon, the swamp wallaby is typically a solitary animal, but often moves into groups when feeding on leaves, grasses, buds and shrubs.
