The near-endemic white-rumped babbler (Turdoides leucopygia) has a scaly breast, white lower belly and white rump that lives in the highlands of Ethiopia, and adjacent areas of Eritrea, Somalia and South Sudan. Its favoured habitat is dense scrub and bushes. It is also known as the Northern White-rumped Babbler.
